HSA turns 20

On 16 March 2000, Human Services Agency, aka HSA initiated its operations in Debrecen, Hungary. The eponymous member of our company has come a long way in the last two decades, undergoing many changes, but two things remained unchanged: the VAT ID and the registered office in Debrecen.

Started in 2000 with two employees, HSA Kft. jumped straight into providing staff to a big automotive supplier in Debrecen, and the partnership between the two companies has continued ever since. In 2002, thanks to the major assignments from Debrecen, HSA, firmly established by that time, opened its first branch office outside Budapest in Szolnok, and orders started to come in from the Jászság region in the same year.

In 2005, the company achieved a sales revenue of HUF 500 million, which was an excellent feedback of HSA’s previous 5 years spent in the temporary employment sector. The following year, the company obtained ISO certification and launched its recruitment business alongside its temporary employment agency activities. In 2007, it started its cross-border expansion: branch offices were established at first in Slovakia, then in Romania. Later, the adult education business was launched. The global economic crisis of 2008 did not leave HSA unaffected, but it managed to survive this period thanks to its sustainable and cost-optimised system.

In 2011, the services of HSA became available in Szeged and also in Budapest the following year, and subsequently, the growth of the company gained momentum. It had become the biggest temporary employment agency in Eastern Hungary by 2015, and HSA branch offices in Gyöngyös, Miskolc, Nyíregyháza and Szentes were opened in the same year, making the expansion of the company continuous from that time on. In 2016, further branch offices were opened in Cegléd, Eger and Jászberény, and the company was the first in Hungary to start dealing with the employment of employees from a third country, namely Ukraine. In 2018, HSA Kft. became the fastest-growing company in Hajdú-Bihar county, and has ranked among the top 10 largest temporary employment agencies on a national level for several years.
